Sam Watts

Sam Watts has a PhD in cancer research from the University of Southampton’s School of Medicine, where he worked for ten years. He has led large-scale NHS-funded cancer clinical trials in several leading hospitals, including Southampton General Hospital, Portsmouth’s Queen Alexandra Hospital and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Also a trained clinician of Ayurvedic and natural medicine, Sam founded Mind-Body Medical in 2018 to bring evidence-based and practical Ayurveda to those living in the UK and Europe. Mind-Body Medical has grown to become one of the leading providers of Ayurvedic healthcare in the UK.

Sam’s passion lies in studying and exploring the clinical mechanisms that can empower those with cancer to become exceptional in terms of maximising the quality and quantity of life they experience. His research has been published in leading academic journals and he has presented at major integrative health and cancer conferences across Europe. In 2015, he was awarded the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Young Researcher of the Year award for research into prostate cancer survivorship.
