		<description>Gordon, you've just got to read JG Ballard's short story "The Index." You will love it. The story consists almost entirely of the index of a mysterious autobiography that was never published and otherwise lost. It's hard to believe that an index can be funny, but it really is a hoot to read through. I think it's in his collection &lt;em&gt;War Fever&lt;/em&gt;.</description>
